Next-generation packaging innovations will be the focus of a talk about Australian produce exports at the Queensland Supply Chain & Logistics Conference this week.

Dr Andrew Macnish, a specialist in horticulture and forestry science at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, and George Ganzenmuller FAIP, innovation manager at Orora Limited, will explore recent trials of Australian produce into Asia and the US which utilise next-generation packaging innovation.

The joint presentation will address how a greater understanding of long-haul agricultural produce supply chains and new packaging technologies can enhance supply chain effectiveness.

Both speakers will present case studies which demonstrate how you can collaborate with the industry to determine what's important in designing new packaging technology.

The conference is a national event for supply chain, logistics, transport and procurement professionals and practitioners.
