Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan announced to raise its actual selling prices for Al-killed wire rod products by NT$1,000/ton, effective immediately, driven by sharply surged raw material prices and higher market demand. Accordingly, the company’s actual selling prices for blast furnace (BF) and electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rods increased to NT$24,500/ton and NT$22,500/ton. In fact, the firm hiked its January list prices for Al-killed wire rods by NT$500/ton, making its list prices for blast furnace (BF) Al-killed wire rods rise to NT$25,500/ton; however, its actual selling prices were only at NT$23,000~NT$23,500/ton due to slack demand.
